About Roberto Araujo

Samaritan Daytop Village hired Roberto on March 27, 2017, as an entry-level counselor in the admissions department for the residential programs. Roberto is a graduate student at Adelphi University School of Social Work. He earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Human Services from Metropolitan College of New York in January 2020 and became a CASAC Advanced Level in May 2020. During his tenure, Roberto has contributed to the residential admissions department, establishing a solid work ethic and allegiance to social justice. In August 2021, he relocated to the Mid-Hudson region as a senior counselor in the upstate admissions department. He stepped into the leadership of the Admissions Department in August 2022, overseeing all facets of admission processes to twelve residential programs, regarding a diverse population ranging from veterans to young mothers, homeless, incarcerated, and all vulnerable individuals struggling with substance use disorder.
