About Roberto Dailey
I am a PhD candidate in Operations Research at the University of Texas at Austin graduating in August 2025. My focus has been on Hidden Markov Models for error correction in segmentation. Previous workplace roles have had me forecasting sales, product failures, and financial derivatives. In addition to research experience I have enjoyed working with the UT machine learning and data-science club (MLDS) as the chief technical officer. Though MLDS I have designed and run machine learning competitions using reinforcement learning and synthetic data. I enjoy applying statistics and data science in creative ways to identify practical business solutions, and I look forward to applying those methods and practices to other organizations.
