I was employed by Transport for London (TfL) in the UK as a senior traffic signal control engineer. I am looking for a role with responsibility, where I can grow and expand and where I can best use my skills. In my job as senior traffic engineer I; • Collaborated across different TfL and local government departments and private sector organizations when working on large-scale development projects. • Created traffic models using the latest traffic modeling software and advised on traffic modeling requirements to study the impacts of new traffic schemes and signal timings. • Provided detailed reports used to assess and approve new intersection and network developments. • Was responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of large quantities of raw data that was used to assess old and new traffic signal timings and their impact. • Managed customer inquiries for the whole of the South Inner Team, investigating and amending signal-timing strategies where required and formulating responses detailing work undertaken or explaining current operation. • Developed new form of traffic signal management across department that saw greater ownership of traffic signal networks given to individual engineers. This allowed a direct point of contact for areas of London and saw greater knowledge of signal strategies developed. • Was handpicked to work on both Congestion Charge Western Extension Zone and the successful London Olympic bid for 2012. • Provided extensively trained support to the London Streets Traffic Control Center, advising on and creating new signaling strategies to deal with real time network events in high-pressure situations. • Worked with GIS maps on a daily basis to access and update traffic signal data. • Controlled directly Urban Traffic Control (UTC) traffic signal timings and set up real time adaptive traffic signal optimization network across London.
