About Roberto Ferrara

Born in Genoa in 1988, I got my bachelor's degree in my birth-city and I continued my studies on urban planning issues at Turin Polytechnic School, where I got my master's degree in 2013. My thesis was awarded with the mention on Polytechnic website. During my studies I attended two internships at Liguria Region and at the architecture and planning studio "Consorzio Taiga" and I joined the international experiences of the ESDP Intensive Program "Spatial Development Planning", held in 2013 in Ankara, and the student exposition of the 7th "Biennal Europea de Paitsage" held in 2013 in Barcelona. In 2014-2015 I'm a grant researcher on urban regeneration theme at the Architectural Science Department of the University of Genoa. In 2014 I gave didactic and logistic assistance during the Rutgers University course “Landscapes and townscapes of northern Italy”. As co-founder of the association "Giovani Urbanisti - Fondazione Labò", gathering urban planners and urban issues experts, I participated to many urban regeneration projects, including the management of the monumental complex of Lanterna di Genova, landmark of the city. Since January 2015 I'm licensed to practise in Italy as urban planner and since 2018 I work in the fields of urban planning, GIS mapping and energy assessment.
