About Roberto Flauto

Sic Parvis Magna- Greatness from small beginnings ” Since I was a child I have always been distinguished by two main characteristics: an innate curiosity and a very strong propensity for problem solving. I am a chemical engineer, master's degree cum laude at Università degli studi di Salerno. During my period of studies, I was able to improve my problem solving skills especially in project works I have participated, including creating plants or consulting activity. Of course, I spent a lot of time with my colleagues and I needed to build good relationships with them to reach all the targets our projects required, getting better in teamwork and team building. I can also grown my passion for English, born during my study stay at the DCU college in Dublin and culminated with the achievement of ESB Level 2 Certificate in ESOL International All Modes (C1 CEFR). In addition, I have achieved not only excellent software skills in the main design and simulation programs (Autocad, Labview, SolidWorks,Aspen, Moldflow), but I also learned hard skills such as mathematical modeling, use of technical instruments, R&D development. Currently I’m working as Operations Engineer at All4labels. This is a crucial experience for my professional growth; with this role I have the opportunity to strengthen the skills previously acquired and to learn new ones, in addition to storing a significant and fundamental amount of experience on the field. An Operations engineer has to make sure that all process and functions under his control are working correctly and efficiently. This figure has to identify operational problems by observing and studying system functioning and performance results; determine operational priorities by assessing project objectives, such as, efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, safety, environmental quality, time and cost; improve operational quality results by studying, evaluating, and recommending process re-design, implementing changes, monitoring any unit performance. He also keeps safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Finally he has to update his job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. All this contributes to reach my main target that is to become, in future, a manager who can lead his team always to achieve goals that the company set up.
