About Roberto Guzman

Educator with high set of technological skills to help promote students into becoming collaborators, critical thinkers, creators and effective communicators. Specialists in promoting Digital Citizenship, Community Engagement and Supporting Teachers and Parents in search of success for their students. Mr. Guzman's background in science includes a position at UT Southwestern's Department of Molecular Genetics in the Helen H. Hobbs Lab. This excellent opportunity allowed him to partake in first class science. He was able to work on various projects dealing with Cholesterol Metabolism that applied the recent genomic discoveries of the Human Genome Project to create animal models to study diseases that would lead to more understanding of the disease and hopefully cures for them. On a personal Mr. Guzman is a native of Southern California and funny enough he actually was born in East LA. His personal interests range from playing and coaching Rugby to cooking various forms of Cuisines. To which he has a fondness for Italian, Texas BBQ and classic New Orleans dishes and not to forget his cultural roots Mexican food.
