I’m passionate about science, technology, and the biological mechanisms that shape our world. Originally from Peru, I began my career working to develop genetic and bioinformatic resources for potato. I have since worked in a variety of crops, and my research path has allowed me to participate in many different facets of crop improvement. From genome sequencing projects to improving food security crops in Africa to exploring high-tech phenotyping applied to bioenergy crops, my background is diverse and well suited to innovative and creative endeavors.
