About Roberto MacEdo

Coding is my life! When you love what you do then you are on the right way, and my way is the same way of a bullet train, always going fast and using the best techniques and tools (Python of course) and yes, I love coding, why? I'm not sure, maybe is the satisfaction of create software that make things easiest for everyone (tears going down while remember my first program using a Casio FX-880p, sometime ago) or maybe the satisfaction that gives me finishing complex programming tasks after bang my head several times against the wall, that's my zen moment, my zenit point. Today It has been 18 years since that first program, a long way in which I have learn a lot of programming languages, Basic, Cobol, Pascal, C, C++, Visual Basic, Fox Pro, Delphi, PHP, Javascript, Java and Python, maybe I'm missing one language, but all are part of developer who I'm now, I could'nt remember all, but if I need remember one of them, or learn a new one, I will do it. We must be like doctors, computer surgeons, If we are not learning everyday, them we will be starting to be outdated and our patients will be deseased. Obviously some of those programming languages includes some tools/frameworks, some of them I'm not using some time ago like Web2py or Ansible and other are my day to day like Selenium, Vue.js, Django, DRF, Celery, Bottlenose, Amazon MWS, Amazon Product Advertising, Amazon Advertising API, Vultr API, Digital Ocean API, GIT, Docker and a litle bit of AWS for the RDS and EC2 servers I'm managing. Not all is software development for me, I spend important part of my life using and learning Linux, since that Mandrake 7 cd I get from a friend in 2002, then it was another long way, where I was using Suse, Opensuse, Debian, Gentoo (yes, I spended something like two days compiling the full distro), Ubuntu, Mint, but at some time I started using OSX until today (only for development, today my servers always uses Debian or Ubuntu). All of those allowed me to learn some linux commands that help me a lot doing servers management, making many scripts to make things easiest for me and others. That speedway I rided include important stops to learn about DB management/programming since the older MS Access, to the Databases I'm using now MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL and MongoDB. So, who I'm? I'm a happy Software Developer
