About Roberto Peretta

Born and bred in Milano, Italy, I've been working in the publishing field since 1974, as a journalist since 1977, on the Web since 1995, at the University of Bergamo from to 2022, and at the University of Trento from 2017 to 2022. Though formally retired in 2022, I'm still at work. • I've been repeatedly hired as a consultant for public administrations in Milano, Como and Bergamo, as well as for publishing companies. • At Touring Club Italiano (TCI) I was the resident consultant on tourism data management, mobile communication, the European Projects and, generally speaking, this publisher's digital communication from to 2009. I still cooperate a lot with the TCI. • I co-established and keep managing the CiaoMilano website. • My "a key to Milan" guidebook for Hoepli was updated and re-published six times. • I designed from scratch and started the first website a Milanese museum ever had on its own, on a commission by Museo Bagatti Valsecchi. • I provided tourism content to the Rough Guides, Time Out, Mondadori, Hoepli, Zanichelli, De Agostini, and Touring Club Italiano, and academic contributions on digital and tourism to Springer, McGraw-Hill, Emerald, Hoepli, FrancoAngeli, the universities of Bergamo, Bologna, Limoges, and Venice Ca' Foscari.
