About Roberto Steiner
Research in my group is concerned with diverse aspects of protein structure and function, small molecule/ligand recognition as well as protein-protein interaction. My laboratory employs a multi-disciplinary approach involving state-of-the-art X-ray crystallography, biochemistry, biophysical techniques (for example ITC, SAXS, fluorescence), and molecular biology to address fundamental problems at the crossroads between chemistry, biology and medicine. I am also one of the authors of the macromolecular refinement program Refmac5, one of the flagships of the crystallographic CCP4 suite and employed by users all around the world.
