About Roberto Thillet

Few facts about myself, and why I think they matter, in no particular order, but all just as important. Fact 1-Present me a problem, big or small, on this continent or another, I will enjoy solving it and will be great at it, but I’m also great at knowing if it isn’t me who should be solving it. Why it matters-One of my all-time great bosses (she knows who she is) thought me that it’s just as important to work on your strengths as it is on your weaknesses. This means that I need to be keenly aware of my weaknesses (no I will never admit them to you), work on shoring them-up vs. spending a disproportionate amount of time at things I am not great at. This has thought me to surround myself with people who are great at what I am not, and focus on creating a great team, vs trying to be good at all things, vs great on a key few-This mentality has shown me that it’s important to surround yourself with people who are smarter, better, and think differently than I do, for my sake and theirs-Most importantly I have learned it’s important to listen to what they have to say and make sure to share what I have to say as well, regardless of the challenges presented in doing so. Fact 2-I love tech, but not as much as the difference it can make to a business. Why it matters-I have been lucky to work for some great companies and people and have first-hand seen how technology enables people all around the world to do great things. From saving lives to enabling new and cutting-edge research, the impact technology can have on our word simply stated, gets me excited-Technology can also overwhelm people and have seen some of the simplest problems overwhelm some great teams, this is my niche, helping people bridge the gap and helping them make money in the process. Fact 3 and why it matters-I have great instincts, but data is how I know that. Fact 4 and why it matters-I believe the most seemingly complicated problems usually have the simplest of solutions. Fact 5-As much as I love what I do, I love more enjoying life. Why it matters-I work hard at enabling my customers to have the revenue they desire to accomplish their goals, so I can have the revenue I desire to do the same. Fact 6: I am better at what I do than any words I can come up with can explain. Why it matters: This means you should never put me in charge of your marketing department(although I know someone who can help you), on the other hand, I am certain you will be surprised by the level of commitment and breadth of knowledge I bring to the table.
