About Roberto Wong

I’ve spent the last 15+ years working at the intersection of service innovation, business development, and large-scale program management — mostly in the travel and e-commerce space. What I enjoy most is taking an idea from the “what if” stage and turning it into something that delivers real value for customers and the business. Over the years, that’s meant launching new service lines, integrating entirely new product categories like Flights and Attractions into an established business, and leading tech-driven projects that have saved millions of euros. At Booking.com, I worked across multiple brands, managing global teams (up to 160 people across different regions) and collaborating closely with senior leaders to make sure strategy and operations were always aligned. Some highlights include launching a B2B service line for strategic partnerships and introducing AI-powered self-service tools that cut costs by more than €6M a year. Before that, I had a first career in events — programming big shows and coordinating large-scale productions like the Opening Ceremony of the Pan American Games, which went out live to over 100 countries. I’m fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and I’m at my best when I’m working with diverse teams on projects that make a measurable impact.
