About Robin Bennett

With over a decade of experience in marketing and consulting in the financial services and high-tech industries, and a decade of experience in practicing corporate law with clients in industries as varied as application development, cannabis, food and beverage, beauty and cosmetics, healthcare, and high tech, I bring a consultative approach to legal services. My focus over the last several years has been working with entrepreneurs to sell their businesses. I enjoy guiding an entrepreneur through the sales process — from preparing the business for a sale to negotiating the sales agreement and other documents. However, the sales process is so much more than the deal terms and documents. It is a roller coaster of emotions driven, in part, by the unknowns of the process. I rely heavily on my consulting skills – proactive communications and education – to help an entrepreneur through the process. I founded Doyenne Corporate Law so that I would have the flexibility to focus primarily on women entrepreneurs. Women are starting businesses much faster than their male counterparts; yet, the percentage of women-owned businesses breaking the $1 million threshold of revenues is much less than male-owned businesses. Though there are numerous issues behind this trend, Doyenne wants to make sure that lack of access to quality legal services isn't one of them. When not on a Zoom call strategizing how to overcome a legal obstacle, I can be found hiking Bay Area trails with my Mid-Peninsula Women's Hiking Group, seeking out backpacking experiences around the world, or scuba diving in Belize or the Caymans.
