About Robin Cass
An artist, educator, and academic leader, Robin Cass currently serves as Vice Provost at Catawba College in Salisbury North Carolina. Prior, Cass was Director of Creative Engagement Programs in the College of Art and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. In this capacity, she was the founding director of the Art Experience (ArtEx) Program; a unique enrichment opportunity for STEM students to experience the personal and professional benefits of hands-on creative experiences. Cass also recently completed an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow hosted by Southern New Hampshire University. She is dedicated to helping the next generation of creative professionals grow and thrive through transformational higher education leadership. Robin first joined the RIT College of Art and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1998 as a faculty member in the Glass Program. In addition to her faculty roles and administrative appointments, Robin is an internationally recognized artist. She earned an EdD from Northeastern University, MFA from Alfred University, and BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. From 2004 through 2010, she also served on the board of directors of the international Glass Art Society As an artist, Robin works primarily with hot glass, and her current pieces explore themes of discovery, display, and wonder. She has exhibited extensively, and her work can be found in a number of public and private collections in the United States and abroad. In recent years, her work has been exhibited in Tianyuan, China, and Osaka, Japan. Her artwork can be seen here:
