Technical Director for LogicalTech Group. Robin is a technologist focusing on emerging technology, leading edge innovation and complex systems integration. Robin’s career has been distinguished by a focus on the assessment and introduction of emerging technologies - from RDBMS’s in the 1980’s, 4GL’s and client-server technologies, in the 1990’s through to mobility and cloud in the 2010’s. Robin has demonstrated an ability to mitigate the risks inherent with new technology to effectively deliver business benefits through innovation, due diligence and in the building of strong relationships with technology vendors. In addition to his IT focus, the last 8 years have included pro-bono work as board chair of a Melbourne independent school. This involved creating a governance framework, formulating strategies to drive significant changes in the organisational structure and the curriculum offering, and negotiations with stakeholders to allow for the delivery of needed facilities. Specialties: • Problem solving flair and thinking ‘outside the square’ demonstrable both in ICT and Not for Profit sphere. • Introduction of new technologies – appraisal, review and piloting • COTS review and analysis – particularly in the Education and CRM areas.(Microsoft CRM certified) • Current architectural understanding and certifications in Mobility (IBM Worklight) and other enterprise mobility offerings. • Strong technical skills and knowledge in the use of hardware, software and tools to facilitate the architecting and design of solutions. • Strong written communication skills – particularly in responding to tenders, authoring technical reports and proposals. • Broad and current understanding of the technology landscape including mobility and cloud computing trends and their implications on organisations.
