As a recreation, tourism and hospitality professional with a diverse range of skills and experience, I enjoy taking initiative and responsibility for my work. With 20 years' experience and a Masters degree in Sustainable Leisure Management, I have stayed current with trends in recreation, hospitality and leisure services. I have a proven track record of community programming, grant-writing, feasibility studies and project management. With a creative mind for strategic planning, I excel at shifting between different roles to "do what needs doing". I have an excellent reputation for managing teams. Using transformational leadership skills I create a positive work environment that focuses on people first, and I encourage teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among staff members.
