About Robin Hill

I have worked within social service work for 17 years in numerous capacities. I continually engage in professional development through training and workshops to expand and refine my skill set and knowledge base. I enjoy a challenging work environment with competing priorities. I am experienced working with diverse clients including children, youth, adults, and elder who present with varied needs. I have assisted my clients utilizing anti-oppressive practices and from a trauma informed lens to increase their capacity to function in society at their full potential while ensuring the right to self determination. I am now a post secondary teacher and field placement specialist within the social service worker program. As a post secondary teacher, I am able to utilize my experience and knowledge within my teaching practices while incorporating Indigenous pedagogy. This provides students with the knowledge and information required to work from a basis of best practices for all utilizing a wholistic approach to overall well being of those they support.
