About Robin Kadergran

l'm a recently graduated programmer with a broad and modern technical foundation. I have recently completed my Bachelor's studies in Software Engineering at both Mid Sweden University and Blekinge Institute of Technology. My bachelor thesis: Objectives: The scope of this study is to investigate how government organizations act during a cyber-attack and how their work mitigates future cyber-attacks. Are the prevention methods based on the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency’s recommendations or current practices? Have these recommendations been overlooked? Will there be an improvement after a cyber-attack? Results and Conclusions: Among the participants, 50% based their countermeasures on recommendations from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, 14% on recent research, 9% relied on third-party services, while 27% chose not to implement any countermeasures. Ransomware emerged as the most common type of cyber-attack, followed by DDoS, spear phishing, phishing, and privilege escalation. A clear trend shows that all forms of phishing are the primary attack vector, involved in over half of the reported incidents. Notably, 64% of participants are actively improving their defenses, guided by either recent research or official recommendations. However, the 27% who did not respond to attacks may be overlooking critical opportunities to strengthen their cybersecurity. The findings highlight the need for continued education in cyber hygiene and security awareness, especially since human error remains a key entry point for ransomware, phishing, and privilege escalation attacks. Beyond my Bachelor's degree, I am now continuing to expand my expertise at an advanced level within AI and cybersecurity. I am highly flexible regarding relocation and plan to move closer to the workplace once I begin my employment.
