About Robin Lathan

Communications professional with a unique blend of private business, sales, and public administration experience. My career began in real estate, where I supported a multi-million dollar producing Coldwell Banker broker who owned three nationally ranked offices across North Alabama from 2012-2016. Our expertise was in residential, commercial, and corporate relocation. In 2014, I obtained my real estate license and successfully closed a number of independent transactions while in the industry. In 2016, I transitioned to local government as the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and Communications Specialist for the City of Albertville, AL. I specialize in public affairs and community relations, internal communications, creative copy writing, industry standard/AP writing, website and social media management, executive administration, and public speaking. I am also well versed in economic and community development. Known for my strong interpersonal skills, I am passionate and dedicated to fostering relationships within my organization, with external stakeholders, and my community. As a dedicated community servant, I have held volunteer positions such as Public Relations Chairperson for the Child Advocacy Center of Marshall County, served as a member of the Board of Directors for CASA of Marshall County, the Albertville Chamber of Commerce Community Development Committee, and additional roles. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SharePoint, Teams, Google Workspace, GIS mapping, various internal comms softwares, and CRM systems.
