About Robin Maddicott

I’m a music catalog specialist with over 20 years of experience in metadata, distribution, auditing, and rights management. At Music Manager, I lead large-scale catalog audits and optimization work for prominent artist, label, and investor-owned catalogs, working with clients including HYBE, Big Machine Label Group, Shamrock Capital, Exceleration Music, and MNRK Music Group. I also oversee product development, creative marketing, and campaign rollout for artist and label catalogs including José González, Icona Pop, TEN Music Group, and Telegram Studios. This includes commissioning remixes and collaborations, activating catalog content through strategic partnerships, shaping rollout strategies, and managing multi-partner servicing across DSPs, radio, and press. Alongside this, I work extensively in business and product development - designing tools and strategies that support long-term growth for rights holders. I’m increasingly interested in adapting these approaches to adjacent sectors like film, TV, gaming, and podcasts, where metadata, licensing, and distribution complexity is growing - and where I believe strategies shaped by music industry experience can offer real value. In addition, I work as a catalog broker - helping identify and structure catalog sales, assist with valuations, and support both rights holders and buyers through the acquisition process. Finally, I’m passionate about supporting artists who are looking to transition into new industry roles. Having navigated that shift myself, I know the challenges firsthand - but also the unique perspective and skills that artists can bring to the business side of the industry.
