About Robin McGregor

As Vice Principal – Curriculum & Quality at North East Scotland College, I bring extensive experience in strategic leadership across the tertiary education sector. My work is driven by a deep commitment to academic excellence, inclusive practice, and the continuous enhancement of learning and teaching. I lead on curriculum and commercial innovation, student support, quality assurance, and the alignment of academic delivery with the evolving needs of learners, employers, and our wider communities. I’m passionate about creating future-focused learning environments that empower both students and staff to thrive, and about fostering a college experience that is dynamic, inclusive, and grounded in evidence-informed practice. Beyond my institutional role, I contribute to the wider sector as a QAA Tertiary Quality Enhancement Reviewer (TQER), supporting national efforts to uphold and advance quality standards across post-secondary education. I also serve as a Board Director for ASET International Energy Skills Academy, a wholly owned commercial subsidiary of NESCol. ASET plays a pivotal role in delivering high-impact technical and compliance training to support the energy transition and workforce development across Scotland and beyond. I believe in the transformative power of education and remain committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in everything I do.
