I am a results-focused executive leader in the healthcare sector with more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience, overseeing interdisciplinary teams in complex, fast-paced environments. With strong communication skills, I artfully manage relationships with the public, the media, clients and their families, and funders. I leverage my effective interpersonal skills to build and nurture productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, creating community partnerships that help expand program delivery. Through programs including Ottawa Inner City Programs, and earlier career experience as a therapist and behavioural counsellor, I have built extensive experience working with vulnerable, marginalized, and diverse populations with a focus on promoting health equity. A collaborative and inclusive leader, I believe in empowering teams and enabling personal growth and development to benefit the individual and the team. With an MBA specializing in Human Resources Leadership, and extensive experience in team leadership, recruitment, training, and retention, I pride myself on my ability to develop, motivate, and inspire highly productive and engaged teams. I take a person-centred approach to leadership which has helped me to guide and support through the disruption and uncertainty of the pandemic, ensuring constant communication and reassurance, providing the support and training required to ensure staff felt safe delivering care.
