Worked in IT since 1997, firstly in a general capacity then moved into a more support / developer role, now in a consultants role. I have been involved with IT software since 1997 in various capacities, designing, writing, testing and supporting various off the shelf and in-house systems. I have worked with Visual Basic.NET, Microsoft Dynamics, Navision financials as well as having exposure to Oracle ERP, E-Max and SAP. My experience is mainly in a manufacturing environment but have exposure to other areas such as the Social Housing industry. Initially employed at Schmitz to help write in house sales quoting software, but moved onto creating an integrated management system for all areas of the business as well as administering Microsoft Dynamics. The.NET system was designed to link all departments together to reduce data duplication and share information, I was also looking up information from Dynamics and MS Access systems. My role encompassed supporting the software whilst continually developing and improving the software, as well as training users and compiling any relevant documentation. I am currently working as a system consultant, primarily working with new customers to install their new system and existing customers to use the system more effectively and to specify and implement enhancements, including any relevant training. Took on the temporary role of project manager for a new major customer implementing the latest software version, planning the available resources and assisting to deliver the project on time and in budget.
