Master Mariner and Maritime Consultant qualified in the United Kingdom and Australia with extensive international maritime commercial, technical and operational excellence of over 37 years in business development, leading project management teams, chartering/freight trading, commercial operations, marine supply chain analysis, technical ship management, crewing, port/terminal operations, port captaincy, maritime training and marine surveying, which includes 15 years’ merchant navy sea service from 1985 to on most types of vessels with reputed European and Australian companies. Demonstrated leadership and senior management experience with wide international exposure in Safety Management Systems, Vessel Inspections, Casualty Investigations, Risk Assessment, Vetting, Safety/Security audits, P&I Surveys and Expert Witness. Successfully initiated and set up a dry bulk loading project utilizing the company’s cargo lifting equipment imported into Biringkasi, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, which included extensive familiarization training of the local shore team, on board crew and implementation of project management policies. Instrumental in successfully securing a major coal contract of affreightment of 5 million metric tons with Ceylon Shipping Corporation in 2014. Successfully renegotiated stevedoring contracts for the company's fleet loading/discharging project and heavy lift cargoes in the Asia Pacific region. Implemented, trained and managed a Ship Management team responsible for the Commercial Operations of the company's time-chartered fleet of dry bulk/log carriers and multipurpose vessels trading worldwide, which also included on board maritime training of officers and crew. Introduced and implemented a new loading program (load planner) specialized for heavy lift and project cargoes for the company's time chartered multipurpose fleet trading worldwide. Reviewed and restructured Safety and Operational procedures for loading and discharging of vessels in consultation with existing port regulations, company procedures and policies.
