About Robin Pitrat

Passionate about software since my childhood, I specialized in designing software dedicated to highly intensive computations done in real time. One-year postgraduate degree in computer science and 18 years of professional experience at Murex, the leading software editor of capital markets platforms. I worked on the key functionalities of the foreign exchange markets (massive data, extremely low latencies). In a daily basis I enhanced and maintained a thirty year old code. Literally millions of lines and. challenging debugs. The biggest benefit of working with such a code base is to understand what is working and what is not working when we talk about code design, quality, agile methods and so on. Lately I have been working on new functionalities in the Value at Risk (VaR) to deal with new regulations. I am used to work in english (international staff at the parisian office + several offices overseas).
