About Robin Robinson

Robin is an experienced Community Advocate, Team Leader and Educator with an expertise in using time management and cross-cultural communication skills to achieve goals. Originally from Jamaica, Robin was a Teacher, Curriculum Developer and Literacy Coach for 10+ years before relocating to Toronto in 2016. Since that time he has been a proud community advocate and has facilitated workshops for TD Bank’s Financial Literacy Program, Money Matters, to newcomers at Access AllianceMulticultural Health and Community Services. He is also a volunteer with the 519 Community Centre where he has conducted workshops on Seasonal Affective Disorders to Afro-Caribbean refugee claimants. In addition to his volunteer contributions, Robin has worked for the Community Action Research Centre, and is currently seeking new opportunities where he can combine his people skills and digital fluency skills to support workplace environments that champion diversity inclusion, anti-bullying and anti-discrimination campaigns. He serves as the present HIV Self Testing Coordinator at Black Coalition for Aids Prevention where he is actively involved in Health Promotion for the African Caribbean Black Community regardless of the varying intersectional pathways which exist in communities. His function surpasses education and outreach but is interwoven in community engagement.
