I am a born educator who lives in pursuit of knowledge. In my community I am recognized as a forward thinker and an advocate for sustainable living. Passion and drive are etched in every aspect of my life’s pursuits. With an eye for detail, a heart for our natural resources, and creative spirit, I serve the good of my community using all tools at my disposal. Key Skills-13 years of teaching in the public school system: elementary, middle, high school & adult -Fluent in learning theories, philosophy, & execution as well as curriculum development -Accomplished supervisor & director of people, projects and information exchange -In field naturalist, gardening, & horticulture experience Awareness of individual student learning styles, strengths, and limitations -High competency in technology and execution of multimedia -communications -First Aid CPR certified -Practicing botanical artist/illustrator; various freelance visual communications projects Certified to teach K-8 Science; Hold a BA in K-6 Education & Psychology from the University of NC at Chapel Hill Recognized for my creativity and artistic perspective. I commit to projects and am well seasoned at multitasking to completion. My colleagues would describe me as dedicated, resourceful and passionate for the environment.
