About Robin Stoodley
Goal: To facilitate in-depth learning of chemistry, including relevant soft skills. After many years of leading the 3rd and 4th year analytical chemistry labs, I currently teach only lecture courses! My courses include Quantitative Chemical Analysis, Global Challenges in Chemistry, Communicating Chemistry and Practical Research Skills. Experience: Teaching, laboratory management, critical reviews of literature, proposal and technical report writing, editing writing, scientific instrument maintenance and repair, budgeting, procurement/purchasing (up to ~$500k), staff and teaching-assistant supervision, and liaison with local industry. Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving ability. I take on occasional consulting work. I have access to a broad range of instrumentation and equipment. Please inquire. Our 4th year lab programs allow for students to undertake one or two term long projects with industrial partners, working on a ~12 to 16 hours/week basis.
