About Robin Waley

An experienced Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) professional, currently working to promote greater equity, human rights and Reconciliation in the healthcare sector. I specialize in organizational strategy development and implementation with over a decade of leadership in DEI across multiple sectors in the Greater Toronto Area and nationally (incl. post-secondary education, recreation and sport, child care, outdoor education/camps, employment services, newcomer services, and youth outreach/shelters). I utilize change management principles and cross functional collaboration to achieve measurable goals – working closely with senior leadership, boards of directors, advisory committees, employee resource groups, human resources, and operational employee teams to affect meaningful change. In addition, I work collaboratively with other departments such as risk management, marketing/communications, legal, and fundraising to provide subject matter expertise when supporting the advancement of organizational needs. I apply an anti-oppressive, intersectional, and community-centered framework in my approach, and generatively inspire others to do the same.
