Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and registered with the Engineering Council as an Incorporated Engineer. Over 30 years in structural engineering in various roles, from steelwork detailing to project management and site construction engineering and coordination. Experienced in using and customising Tekla Structures including creating templates, drawing layouts and reports. Experienced in customising Autocad and producing autolisp routines. Also write programs in Visual Basic and Delphi to simplify the design and detailing process. Qualified as an "Adult and further education" lecturer with City and Guilds 7307 certificate. A well-qualified, competent and experienced user of various CAD systems(including Autodesk Inventor, Autocad 3D & 2D and Tekla Structures) with many years of experience in the structural steelwork industry, I am used to working within strict deadlines and budgets, bringing many projects to completion on time and under budget. I also have a good knowledge of fabrication practices and site construction, having worked as a project engineer on a number of occasions. I am computer literate, as can be seen from my qualifications, and have also worked part time as an I.T. tutor at Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland Colleges. I have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products having completed a Microsoft Office training course with Terminus Training Services in 2001 and continuing to use it on a daily basis in my working life.
