About Robyn Beall

Devoting a significant portion of my career to learning how to help and work with struggling readers. Starting as a Kindergarten EIP teacher, I developed strategies to work with students struggling with basic literacy skills. Working in a Title 1 school afforded me the opportunity to lay a foundation for what I would continue to build over 23 years. As a stay at home mom and educator to my own children, I continued to use the skills I learned in a public school setting as well as furthered my research and education on methodologies to help struggling readers in my home with phonemic awareness, phonics, reading and comprehension. Trained in Barton Reading and Spelling, I started to teach Kindergarten and finished the Complete Reading Series and completed course work and practicum training through the Orton Gillingham Academy as a classroom educator. I am now using the Orton Gillingham approach to provide a systematic and explicit approach to teaching phonemic awareness skills and phonics through basic literacy activities to teach Kindergarteners to read and write.
