About Robyn Chavez

With over two decades of experience in early childhood education and special education, I have dedicated my career to supporting children, families, and educators. My journey began in at Someplace Special Learning Center, where I worked as a preschool, toddler, and infant teacher. This early passion led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development with a minor in Early Childhood Intervention from Texas State University in 2010.In 2012, I became an Early Intervention Specialist with Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), working closely with infants and toddlers with disabilities. After three years, I transitioned into special education, earning my teacher certification and teaching at La Vernia Primary School. In 2017, I took on a pivotal role at SCUCISD, where I opened and built a specialized program for students on the autism spectrum, training teachers and expanding classrooms to meet the growing need.In 2023, I shifted my focus to behavior support, working as a Behavior Specialist to guide teachers and students through MTSS, positive behavior interventions, and social-emotional learning. Now, at Pre-K 4 SA, I have come full circle—returning to my early childhood roots to support preschoolers in developing essential social-emotional skills, while also assisting families with evaluations, referrals, and access to community resources. My passion lies in empowering educators, advocating for students with disabilities, and building inclusive learning environments that help every child thrive.Let’s connect and collaborate to make a difference!
