About Robyn Coburn

How can I help you with your job search or grant writing? Email me to start the process. I'm a multi-passionate artist and writer with way too many interests. After 40 years in theater and film, I help creative professionals craft their best possible resume and cover letter, to take the first steps towards their dream career in the entertainment industry (film, TV and theater). My clients new grads, people returning to the workforce after a gap, or anyone who needs help navigating the computerized and online job search environment. I work with individual clients, do group coaching, and have how-to e-books available on Kindle. Sign up for my newsletter about working in the Entertainment Industry here: https://super-rain-28306.myflodesk.com/workinproduction When not doing that, I'm writing a middle grade novel, and collaborating with James H. Coburn IV on a book about Production Sound Mixing, as a textbook for filmmakers. But I'd love to be hired to write another fabulous biography like DERVISH DUST: THE LIFE AND WORDS OF JAMES COBURN. But I'm also OPEN FOR ART COMMISSIONS! As an artist and maker, I design and manufacture figurative art sculptures and art dolls, textile art pieces, mixed media collage, and occasionally wearable art. I often design art and craft projects with an upcycling emphasis. My small scale art is available at http://iggyjingles.com. My first public art commission is now available for viewing at the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens. Sign up for my Artist Newsletter and get free downloadable art here: https://super-rain-28306.myflodesk.com/iggyjinglesarts After homeschooling my grown up daughter for her whole life, now I write and speak at conferences about mindful parenting and alternative education. I'm a successful grant writer for Women In Media, a non-profit organization that provides advocacy, education and networking opportunities for women and gender non-conforming filmmakers, and other organizations. My writing about living a creative life as an arts practitioner - either as a vocation or for personal development - may be found at https://robynlcoburn.substack.com/.
