About Robyn Jaynes

With over 20 years of veterinary experience, I am passionate about improving the lives of animals and the people who care for them. Throughout my career, I have focused on improving the safety and standards of care for pets. As the Director of Veterinary Affairs at PetSmart Charities, I oversee the strategic direction and implementation of programs that improve Access to Veterinary Care through the development of innovative solutions and ongoing research / data collection. Previously, I served as the Executive Director of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, where I led one of the largest open-admission shelters in the country, achieving record-high live release rates through focus on reducing shelter intake and providing necessary community resources. I also have experience in managing multi-unit veterinary operations, as I was the VP of Operations at Exceptional Pets, a regional chain of low-cost medical centers. I have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University, a Graduate Certificate in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida and am certified in Low Stress Handling for veterinary practitioners. I am committed to advancing the field of veterinary medicine and animal welfare, and to making a positive difference for animals and their families.
