About Robyn Johnson

As a Design Program Director for IBM Security, I lead a global team of 50 UX designers and researchers to deliver user-centered solutions for complex enterprise software platforms. I have 10 years of experience in UX design, design strategy, and design leadership. Over the years, I’ve built empowered teams, scalable systems, and healthy ways of working that drive meaningful outcomes for users and the business. My mission is to create impactful and intuitive experiences for customers and stakeholders by aligning business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility. I work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, bringing a product-minded approach to design leadership. I have deep expertise in enterprise UX, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management, with a strong focus on systems thinking and operational excellence. I’ve led the development of design systems, customer feedback programs, onboarding experiences, and tooling that enable teams to move faster with more consistency and quality. I believe great design is not just what you deliver, but how you deliver it, and I’m passionate about building the systems and structures that make that possible. I hold a Master of Design in Communication Planning & Information Design from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture) from Texas A&M University.
