About Robyn McIntyre

Following my graduation from the University of Waterloo with specializations in Land Development and Urban Design, I started working with MHBC full time in 2022. When starting in my role as a Junior Planner, I brought my experience from co-op placements with a Municipality, County, Law Firm, and MHBC’s Kitchener Office. I’ve worked on a range of land use development projects while pursuing my current position as a Senior Planner, including- Various land development applications—both infill and greenfield—and associated report writing (OPAs, ZBAs, Site Plans, Subdivisions, Condominiums, Modifications, Holding Provisions, Part Lot Controls, etc.)- Urban boundary expansions- Highest and best use evaluations- Due diligence reviews- Municipal planning contracts and associated Council / Committee presentations- Local Zoning Bylaw updates- Public consultation sessions- Parkland calculations- Applying MDS calculations; and - Working with multidisciplinary project teams. I became a Registered Professional Planner and Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners in September 2024. I’ve continued my professional development through courses on presentation techniques, project management, and plain language communications. I look forward to new opportunities to improve my professional skillset.
