I am very excited to have been named in various tax awards for different aspects of work over my 15+ years of experience in the Private Client tax sector. Noteably my team and I WON the Tolleys Taxation Award for Best Single Office Tax Practice in 2022 and were shortlisted again for 2023. LKA chartered accountants also WON an accounting excellence award in 2023. Back in 2014 I was shortlisted for a Tolley’s Taxation Rising Star Award, which looking back and considering my age at the time was an enormous achievement of which I’m very proud. Maybe somewhat unusually for a “boring compliance based Tax Adviser” I have had the honour of many varied public speaking opportunities which has always been a highlight of my career allowing me an opportunity to help others understand UK tax and the self assessment system, something that can often cause much stress! I’m an advocate for helpful networks so please reach out to me if there is anything you think I can help you with where my strengths support yours. This doesn’t need to generate income for me… I want to be helpful! Having started out as a Saturday girl in a small bookkeeping practice doing VAT returns for Take Aways and funfairs, I have managed a large portfolio of personal tax clients ranging from directors of large companies to self employed individuals to non resident landlords and beyond. Now I am happily Director of Tax at the brilliant LKA Chartered Accountants, looking 600+ self assessments and all the quirks and queries that arise from this. Our tax team are highly experienced and highly lovely 🥰. I aim to provide a quick and efficient service to all my clients and hope that everyone I have contact with feel comfortable contacting me for help and advice with their taxes. Specialties: My CTA studies focused on tax planning for Owner Managed Businesses. I am also keenly interested in IR35 and Cryptocurrency in all their glory! Compliance issues in general tend to be my focus day to day and I wouldn’t have it any other way I have a lovely little family, I like to bake, I am currently into weightlifting and I have a pet cat called Mr Carrot 🥕.
