About Robyn Murray

I have worked within the business sector since 2011, with 11 years’ service at my former employer, Advance Northumberland. I joined the company as a Apprentice and worked incredibly hard to progress up the ladder to my most recent role as Marketing Lead for the House Building arm of the company, Ascent Homes. I believe my conscientious, determined and motivated attitude helped me forge a fantastic loyal relationship with my employer and proved valuable in making me a long serving asset to the business. I left the company after over a decade in February 2022 to relocate to the Scottish Highlands & have since worked as a Manager for 2 stunning hotels. I believe myself to of gained many transferable skills during the last 12 years of my career, many of which have helped vastly when moving into the hospitality sector from the corporate sector. My main focus throughout my career was putting customer service at the forefront, something that I pride myself on as a professional and something that is imperative in every business. My career in Marketing saw me plan and attend events and conferences around the UK which included hosting business dinners with many high-profile business clients and members of parliament. I believe I therefore hold invaluable skills when it comes to engaging with members of the public including customers and clients alike. My role within the house building subsidiary saw me develop high value sales strategies and execute marketing plans which resulted in millions of pounds of sales for the business. I therefore am familiar with developing and executing marketing, business and corporate strategies that get results. My professional experience since starting my career has allowed me grow my leadership skills, meaning I work extremely well managing a team, being able to adapt to many situations and time constraints, using my positive attitude to help build and maintain team morale. I believe myself to be a proven effective manager who prioritises staff and staff wellbeing and recognises good staff are a businesses biggest asset. I therefore ensure staff are treat well and looked after to ensure the business has a consistent workforce resulting in high standards and results.
