About Robyn Warner

Helping people to realize their potential is what I love to do! For the past 12 years, I have coached, mentored, engaged, organized and supported thousands of students as an educator. I have worked with and helped diverse groups of people from children and adolescents to adults, including new Canadians and vulnerable groups of people with physical and mental disabilities. Working in education has allowed me to sharpen my written and oral communication skills, as well as my organizational, time management and creative thinking skills. Patience, a positive attitude and my outgoing nature allow me to relate to, empathize with and help others achieve their goals. With my unique combination of a dynamic teaching experience and practical knowledge in the field of career development, my goal is to help my community recognize their potential and find happiness in their future careers. My list of accomplishments include: •Graduated with high distinction from the Career Development Program at Conestoga College with an average of 95%. •Successful facilitator of diverse groups including teens with multiple barriers, adults, English language learners and people with special needs with 10 years of experience as a secondary school teacher. •Excellent ability to build rapport, often assigned to more ‘challenging’ classrooms, and experienced outstanding success in boosting student confidence and participation. •Piloted a remedial program for at risk students creating individualized lessons, instructions and organization for 18 different courses which because if its success, runs annually. •Organized and planned the ‘Walk with Excellence,’ an event that brought together 3 different schools and over 600 graduates to celebrate the graduations of the Jane and Finch community that received coverage in the Toronto Star.
