Rocco Russo leads Cooper Grace Ward’s litigation and dispute resolution group.For over 25 years, Rocco has successfully represented a diverse range of clients across many different industries in disputes around Australia. He is an expert in all types of commercial disputes. Specific focus areas include business disputes; building and construction; corporate litigation; defamation; professional liability; intellectual property litigation; property disputes; and class action matters.Rocco has been a partner of Cooper Grace Ward since 2004, achieving partnership of the then national law firm within only 5 years of being admitted as a solicitor.Rocco is recognised in numerous independent legal directories as a leading lawyer in the areas of litigation, alternative dispute resolution and insolvency law. For 11 consecutive years Rocco has been one of only three Brisbane-based lawyers to be ranked as a leading individual in Australia in the area of Dispute Resolution by prestigious international legal publications Chambers Asia-Pacific and Chambers Global and is currently the highest ranked Brisbane-based lawyer. He is also recognised in Doyles Guide, Best Lawyers and the Legal 500. Rocco has experience in business critical disputes, and has led large multi-disciplinary project teams in significant and high profile cases that have attracted significant media attention. He has also led teams acting for clients in a number of Commissions of Inquiry. Rocco is part of the senior leadership team at Cooper Grace Ward and has been the Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution since 2005. He has also served as a member of CGW's Board for a number of terms during which the firm won a number of national business awards. He has also served on the Queensland Law Society Court Practice and Procedure Committee for over ten years during the period 2007-2017.
