About Rochelle Tobin

I am an evaluator and researcher with over thirteen years’ experience across diverse areas including LGBTIQA+ wellbeing, workforce development, youth suicide prevention, diabetes, sedentary behaviour, and sexual health and blood-borne viruses. I am passionate about the dynamic and collaborative process of strengthening evaluation capacity within non-government organisations. I enjoy supporting organisations to use evaluation as a tool for learning, service improvement, and demonstrating the impact of their work within the community. I completed my PhD using systems thinking evaluation methods to examine a research and evaluation capacity-building partnership. In addition to my PhD, I hold a double degree in Health Science and completed an Honours project exploring the impact of sit-stand workstations on sedentary behaviour, mental health, and work ability. Currently, I am working with FightMND as an Evaluation and Impact Specialist, where I lead the development of an evaluation framework and build organisational capacity in impact measurement. My focus is on ensuring research and care investments deliver meaningful outcomes, strengthening the evidence base, and embedding evaluation practices that support learning and continuous improvement.
