About Rod Emmerson

I started at Black Equipment as a truck driver, was asked to be a heavy equipment mechanic, then asked to take over role of shop foreman and then was asked to take over service manager all within 10 years of working for company. I have gained the respect of company owners as well as the employees that work for me. I have also been a volunteer fire fighter for 28 years climbing through the ranks from captain to assistant chief as well as chief. While working as a heavy equipment technician I have successfully achieved many certifications in this field. I have only worked at three jobs since the age of 16, first at a Fertilizer Company where I was the lead dry and liquid applicator for nine years only left company because there was no more room to grow(family owned family promoted)Then worked for a construction company building houses for 6 years, left only because company didn't offer insurance. Currently I have been at this company til present date. I was also an active member in the Sons Of the American Legion Post 1141 until charter was dissolved. My role in the SAL Post 1141 was Adjutant, taking care of new members and overseeing the financial duties that financed the post.
