40+ years mining experience in the potash industry • Actively involved in Mine Rescue program for 20+ years. • Certified as Competent for Mine Rescue Duties (inactive) • Certified as Mine Rescue Instructor (inactive)• Certified First Aid, CPR, AED. Designated as Director of Underground Emergency Operations at Lanigan Division since 1998. Participated in this function during underground fires (2) in 2003.• Employer OH & S co-chair for the underground operation at Lanigan. Represent and promote Potashcorp interests in providing a safe and efficient workplace for our employees. • Facilitate interaction and communications between the engineering group and operating personnel to ensure the safe and efficient extraction of the ore body. • Knowledgeable in potash mine ore geology. Currently provide guidance to planning and supervision making daily decisions concerning borer cutting profiles and mining directions. • Knowledgeable in mine ventilation systems. Involved in planning of ventilation upgrades and changes through out the mine. Daily involvement ensuring proper ventilation practices are observed through out the mine.• Involved in mining equipment selection for potash mining. • Experience selecting and interviewing prospective employees.• Experience selecting and training front line supervisors. Decades of experience mentoring and coaching to develop employees. • Additional training for emergency scene incident command and arson investigation.
