About Rodana Gustave

Rodana Gustave is in her fourth year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She completed her pre-requisite courses at Florida Memorial University (FMU) where she earned her bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2016. During her time at FMU, she worked as a student science researcher, where she investigated the effect of various concentrations of spices and herbs against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. This study was done due to an increase in the resistance of bacterial pathogens to antibiotics over the years. It was during this time that she realized she wanted to pursue a career as a Pharmacist. She shadowed many doctors and learned how they interact with patients. She also earned a Phlebotomy Technician Certification in 2018. While at NSU, she joined organizations such as; American Pharmacist Association – Academy of Student Pharmacist (APhA-ASP), American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) and Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI). During her involvement in these organizations she made an impact in her community and gained leadership skills. She held a position as secretary from 2020-2021 and president from 2021-2022 for the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI). She is working as a pharmacist intern for Cureatr, which offers Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to patients. She wants to be a long term care pharmacist. Furthermore, she wants to get her consultant pharmacist certification. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially having dinner after Sunday service. In her free time, she enjoys a quiet afternoon by herself, meditating and enjoying a glass of wine.
