About Rodger Schmidt

Rodger Schmidt is a senior project manager with more than 36 years of civil and transportation engineering experience that includes a variety of projects at many different levels of engineering. He has been a project manager and project engineer, responsible for preliminary and final designs and of various civil and structural projects relating to transportation and public works projects. Rodger's projects have included location and route studies, preliminary engineering report preparation (PD & E), light rail transit (LRT), highway alignments, roadway design and conceptual and final interchange design plans. Rodger also supervised and managed the final design and preparation of contract and bid documents for new and rehabilitation of Interstate/Expressway/Major highway facilities. Rodger has experience in project planning, scope development, manhour and fee preparation, negotiations, schedule and budget control for various types of projects for both government and private clients. He has participated in negotiations on large- and small-scale projects and has been involved in projects that required large-scale staff supervision and subconsultants. All other requirements of project management are part of Rodger's daily routine, including coordination of design reviews, quality assurance and control, contract design document preparation, and client relations. Recently, He has established himself in all aspects of transportation design, planning and engineering with specialties in major highway alignments, limited access expressway/freeway and creative interchange designs, LRT design and Commuter rail projects. His experience includes preliminary engineering studies and final designs for a multitude of projects relating to transportation, transit, rail and public works. Rodger's experience also includes location studies, report preparation and conceptual plans for new facilities, and the rehabilitation of interstate, expressway, transit, and primary arterial highways.
