About Rodjae Smith

Young and Ambitious Student that strived to do her best in all that she does. I have plenty of experience in writing, something I have, and still am, actively perfecting for years. Writing has led me into journalism, while where I publish many articles with my high school's newspaper, The Rostrum, and other news outlets such as the New Haven Register. I have been volunteering with different organizations to give back to communities mostly in Connecticut. I have met and worked with many types of people, while volunteering and working in retail, increasing my collaborative skills. I love learning and gaining new experiences. I want to continue to grow, help people, and accomplish great feats. Currently I am working on social emotional learning with youth in New Haven, Connecticut in a new program called Chosen Children. In this I am helping today's youth in understanding their emotions and how to navigate certain social settings, and situations, using resources to become a better person.
