About Rodney Cusack

Rodney is a leader who is highly experienced at complex project management, having designed and led international projects involving teams of specialists from around the world. Key to realising the successful outcomes of the projects he worked on was his ability to engage in a respectful and considerate manner with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, including people from Europe, Asia and North America. The ability to develop a strong rapport with people has been a major asset for Rodney in the area of key opinion leader (KOL) engagement. Through his established network of local and international contacts he has experience in identifying and engaging with KOLs around the world. This has been helpful in gaining expert input into major projects, both at the design stage and during the course of a project. Rodney’s skills in relationship management have also greatly assisted him during contract negotiations and contract management. Having spent over 15 years working with vendors, Rodney has extensive experience in negotiating contracts with manufacturing, logistics, laboratory testing, and clinical companies, along with major tertiary hospitals in Australia. Overarching his project management and people management skills is Rodney’s capacity to understand the complex business and regulatory landscape, and to set strategy accordingly. Rodney began developing and applying this skill while studying for his MBA at QUT. This ability has then been demonstrated during his time as a business consultant at Appetite Group, and further refined during his tenures at small pharmaceutical companies developing products for global application.
