About Rodney Horrell

Mr. Horrell currently serves as TTI’s Senior Assistant Agency Director and Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for oversight and management of five divisions: Financial Services, Research Development, Research Contract Management, Communications, and Facility, Safety & Support. Mr. Horrell also oversees the Events Planning and Financial Analytics teams. Mr. Horrell is a Certified Public Account and a Certified Internal Auditor. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and began his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP, serving as Senior Auditor. Having performed operational, financial, and compliance internal audits for 23 different companies, Mr. Horrell took that experience to AT & T Inc, Dallas, where he served as Associate Director and managed operational, financial, compliance, and Sarbanes Oxley audits covering various processes throughout the company. Mr. Horrell joined The Texas A&M University System Offices in 2007, later moving to Texas A&M University, where he served as Director of Accounting Services prior to coming to TTI in 2015. Mr. Horrell has been an active and award-winning member and leader of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2007, having served as President and Board Member of the Brazos Valley chapter, and Board member at the statewide level. He also served as a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants Professional Standards Committee, GASB Subcommittee. Mr. Horrell is active in the Texas Association of College and University Business Officers (TACUBO) organization, where he represents TTI as a Primary Member of the organization.
