After beginning my career on the manufacturing production line, I have led Lean manufacturing initiatives across the gamut, from supply chain and product development to customer calls and HR. My work consistently furthers the goals of management while solving real problems on the production line. I establish project management frameworks that ensure each new project has a clear charter, budget, schedule, scope, and customer target. I am a PMP and Six Sigma Black Belt committed to helping companies achieve greater revenue, lower costs, and leaner production. Here are just a few of the Lean manufacturing initiatives I have contributed to— • Transformed underperforming, unprofitable company, increasing annual production tenfold from $0.5 million to $5 million. • Boosted profit margin from 15% to 38% and flipped negative 20% income to positive 15% income. • Increased first-pass yields on mechanical gauges to 94% through Lean Six Sigma project. • Reduced gauge kit SKUs from 127 to 7 by leading initiative to utilize common components and combine features based on analysis of customer needs. • Cut cost of building mechanical gauges 50%, saving $1.2 million/year as part of team that used kaizen events and implemented new assembly processes. • Developed new product lines that now generate millions in sales annually. • Reduced manufacturing time on key components, including reducing time to manufacture temperature gauges from 27 minutes to 7 minutes.
