About Rodolfo Mesa

He earned a Bachelor of Law in 1995 and a Master's degree in Business and Economics Legislation in both from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). He later completed a Postgraduate Degree in International Business Law at Universidad APEC in and a Postgraduate Degree in Civil Procedure from PUCMM in 2003. In 2005, he earned a diploma in International Arbitration from the International Business Chamber (CCI) in Paris, France. He also obtained a business diploma from the University of Toronto in 2010 and, in 2019, earned a diploma in Economic Regulation and Competition from the University of Valladolid, Spain. In 2023, he completed a Master's degree in Economic Law from Universidad Salamanca, Spain. With over 22 years of experience in aviation law and air transport, he has worked extensively in areas such as financing, regulation, and litigation. His expertise also includes corporate law, maritime law, and commercial litigation. He is a partner at Mesa | Abogados, a law firm established in 1964 that specializes in transport and corporate law. His clients include domestic and international airlines, lessors, insurance and reinsurance companies, aircraft maintenance workshops, and other providers of air transport services. Since Rodolfo Mesa has served as an Official Translator. He speaks both Spanish and English fluently and has a high proficiency in French. For seven consecutive years, Chambers and Partners has ranked him as a leading lawyer in commercial and corporate law in the Dominican Republic.
